MARKETING LIVESTOCK FOR OVER 30 YEARS!

Stanly County Livestock Market is owned by Marcus and Patty Harward and their family. The Harwards are from Richfield, North Carolina where they raise their own cattle as well. Marcus also operates Harward Brothers Livestock Market in Turnersburg, North Carolina. Harward Brothers Livestock Market operates on Mondays.

SALE TIME

Sale time is 10:30 am on Wednesdays. We start with pairs and head cows (cows that were preg-checked by the vet) and then sell the beef bulls and cows. Following the cows we sell any small animals we have including baby calves, goats, sheep, and hogs. After the conclusion of the small animals, we take a small break for lunch and to move cattle. We start the sale back with the feeder cattle including MAC-VAC cattle.

DROP OFF TIMES

Livestock can be unloaded at the barn on Tuesday or on Wednesday prior to and during the sale.

Tuesday: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

Wednesday: 7:00 am until the conclusion of the sale.

SELLER CHECKS

Checks are available as soon as all your cattle are sold. On sale day we do not have a posted closing time; however, we are in the office until at least 6:00 pm or for 1 hour after the conclusion of the entire sale. Checks are available to be picked up as soon as your cattle are sold until the office is closed. All checks that are not picked up on sale day are mailed with the US Postal Service on Thursday. Most checks arrive by mail on Saturday or Monday, but every week some may take a full 7 days to arrive (Thursday). We do everything possible so all checks arrive prior to the next sale day.

BUYERS

If you are interested in purchasing livestock at the sale, you must register in the office and receive a buyer's number. All livestock must be paid for on sale day immediately after purchase and prior to loading any livestock. We accept check or cash but not credit or debit cards.
